Why does God want our worship?
It is good and right to honor God in worship and praise God today.
Have you ever wondered why God wants us to worship Him?
He has all the power in the universe, so why would it matter to Him whether we bring Him our love?
He wants us to worship Him because He is holy and He is worthy. He is so deserving of reverence and honor that not worshipping Him would violate creation’s very design.
God is the only one who can rightly say—worship me!...with no hint of arrogance in it—no neediness. And He knows…we are worshipping creatures.
He created us that way, and if we do not worship Him, we always end up worshipping something else. Something that is not worthy of the deepest love of our hearts.
Psalm 99:9 says, Exalt the Lord our God…for the Lord our God is holy!
