What are you looking at?
Fix your eyes on Him.
One of the things I remember from childhood ballet lessons is that when you're spinning, you have to fix your eyes in one direction, or else you will lose your balance.
In our spiritual lives, we must keep our hearts fixed on eternity, to keep our balance in this world.
During a time in my life when I felt overwhelmed by grief, I remember reading this verse in Second Corinthians: "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
I realized that my grief was overtaking me because I was fixing my eyes on my loss instead of on the eternal truths and promises of God.
What are you looking at? God's eternal promises are for you today. Fix your eyes on Him.
Always remember there is hope with God. This is Wendy Palau.
