I had a driver in Zambia named Abraham.

I spent the week with him as he drove me all over the city. But as we talked, it became evident that he was disappointed with God.

His life had not turned out as he expected. After a week together hearing the message of God's mercy and kindness over and over again I could see his heart beginning to soften.

I reminded Abraham that God has never promised us an easy life, that we're called to fix our eyes on things we cannot see and walk in faith.

Just before I walked into the airport on my final night, Abraham agreed to pray and rededicate his life to walking with God.

Will you let God hold you even in your disappointment? He didn't promise us an easy life, but He did promise us Himself.

Always remember there is hope with God.

"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." John 16:33
